Rally your fundraising support team when it comes time to come up with some creative fundraising ideas for your charity. Whether your fundraising group is a small church coalition or a large non-profit organization, getting creative minds to collaborate on a fundraiser can be one of the best investments of your time. Chili cook-off’s, bake sales, and special events are always great ways to raise money. Here are three more fun foundation fundraiser ideas:
1. Have a breakfast sale. They always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and many people would agree. Buy a box of breakfast sandwiches or bagels and sell them at work, church, or another place for a small profit. Better yet, work with a local breakfast shop to donate a portion of their breakfast profits or offer you their products at a reduced rate so that you can sell them to raise money for your charity.
2. Host a healthy living competition. If you work in an office setting, start a weight loss competition for a pre-determined amount of time. Have each participant donate a set amount of money. At the end of the weight loss competition, the winner receives half of the proceeds and your foundation will be awarded the other half. It’s a double incentive for people to participate!
3. Have a charity baseball game. Everyone loves this great American sport, so gather your staff or church congregation and organize a charity baseball game. Guests can pay a fee to watch the game which will go directly to charity. You can also sell water and snacks during the game to raise more money for your cause. The game will also serve as a great advertisement to raise awareness about your organization, and people will have a lot of fun playing and watching.
