When putting together a sponsorship letter, it’s important to follow a professional format and make your case in as few words as possible. Keep the letter to one page as people are more likely to toss out a letter that’s lengthy and time consuming to read. In your letter, make sure to include information about your charity, what your charity does, and what the event is for. Also, be sure to clearly request what it is you want from potential donors. Here is a sample event sponsorship letter:
Dear (use formal salutation and last name),

It also bolsters community pride and helps make neighborhoods beautiful.
We are hosting our annual Open House Event on February 21st, 2015 and are seeking sponsors to help participate in the event. As you may be aware, this annual event attracts hundreds of guests and participants. This exciting event also attracts media attention from local newspapers, radio, and television stations.
Currently, we are seeking sponsors who wish to be a part of our Open House Event who want to participate and help our worthy cause. There are several sponsorship opportunities including donating giveaway prizes, donating supplies to the event, offering company volunteers, cash donations, and more. The attached sheet explains specific sponsorship opportunities.
For participating in the event, companies can take advantage of the publicity during the event and also get a monthly mention in our organization’s newsletter along with a live link on our organization’s website which has 50,000 unique visitors each month. We also include mentions of our sponsors on our Twitter and Facebook pages.
We hope that you consider joining our organization to aid the fight against homelessness and hopelessness for people in need. Thank you for your consideration,
