Hosting a fundraiser for a school or church youth group can be a busy prospect, but with a great fundraising team and some creative fundraising ideas, you can raise money and have a good time all while supporting your youth group. Whether you decide to host an event at a local restaurant or sell candy bars at your school, there are plenty of effective fundraising ideas out there. Here are great youth group fundraisers:

1. Sell cookies. There are a number of ways that you can do this. You can work with a large cookie company such as Otis Spunkmeyer or you can gather your youth group and have a baking party. Either way, you will have a lot of fun and sell something that’s appealing to most people. You can sell them door to door, after a church service, or during a specific event and make big profits.

2. Sell flowers. Flower sales are a great way to raise money for a youth group. You can work with a local florist or a company online to sell individual roses during special holidays like Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day or Christmas. You can purchase the flowers at a discount and have the members of your youth group organization sell them on specified days.

3. Host a talent show. Everyone loves to be entertained, and parents especially will love to see their kiddos showing off their best talents. Organize and host a talent show comprised of members of your youth group. Charge a fee for entry at the event that will go directly to your organization and you can even sell concessions to make some extra money during the show.

4. Post a service board. Have each member of your group offer a different service such as dog walking or baby sitting and post your services on a bulletin board in a high traffic area. Charge a nominal fee for those services and participants can donate the money right to the charity.
