Requesting funds for a church fundraiser via a letter is a great idea. If your church has some kind of church newsletter or bulletin, it’s always a great idea to promote your fundraiser letter there. Also, you can pass out fundraiser letters after church services of send them via snail mail or email to the members of your congregation. Here is an example fundraising letter to church members:
Dear (It’s best if you can personally address the letter),
As you may have heard, St. Anthony Church of Houston is preparing to launch their annual Coat Drive this October. This annual event is a great way to raise money (and coats) for the less fortunate in our community. We are hosting a special launch party and event to kick off the Coat Drive on Saturday, October 23rd from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the recreation hall.
This special event will commemorate our 10th year in hosting the event and will include entertainment, refreshments, games for the kids, and a place where people can learn more about how they can help the charitable organizations that are part of St. Anthony Church’s mission.
We would like to invite you and your family to participate in this fun event that’s for a great cause. Tickets for the event will cost $5 per person and all proceeds will go towards buying new winter coats for needy people in our community. We are also asking members of our community for donations of winter coats and sweaters, as well as blankets and quilts, as they will be donated people in preparation for the upcoming cold winter months.
In addition to donations of coats and warm items, we are always asking for financial donations. This money helps us to continue hosting this successful annual event as well as helping to clothe people in our community. For more information, please call us at (phone number). Thank you for your prayers and may God bless you and your family.
